We collect virtually no personal information. When you use MyTaxCount India:

• Your spending inputs (groceries, petrol, etc.) are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers.
• We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data via Google Analytics (e.g., "100 users visited the calculator today"), but this cannot identify you personally.
• If you contact us via our Contact form, we temporarily store your message and email to respond. These are deleted after resolution unless you request otherwise.

2. How We Use Information

Any non-personal, aggregated data we collect is used solely to:

• Improve calculator accuracy and user experience
• Identify and fix technical errors
• Understand which tax categories are most used (to prioritize updates)
• Comply with legal obligations (e.g., responding to lawful government requests)

We do NOT: sell data, build user profiles, target ads, or share information with third parties for marketing.

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

MyTaxCount India uses only essential, non-intrusive cookies:

• Functional cookies: Remember your theme preference (light/dark mode) — stored locally in your browser.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4): Collect anonymized pageview data to help us improve the site. IP addresses are anonymized; no personal identifiers are stored. You can opt out via Google's Opt-out Add-on.
• AdSense cookies (if ads are displayed): Google AdSense may place cookies to serve relevant ads. These are governed by Google's Ad Policies. You can manage ad preferences at Google Ads Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

MyTaxCount India is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately for deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of MyTaxCount India after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
